Changing Our Realities by Changing our Stories

This past weekend, we had our monthly meeting discussing and practicing the Law of Attraction.  Our topic for this month was Changing our realities by changing our stories, and it was a great and informational discussion.  It was a look at the way we do story-telling, and how it affects us and the outcomes of our desires.

As our esteemed group’s instructor, David D explained:

We Tell stories about our past, which explains why we are the way we are, and reinforcing the way that we are.

We tell stories about the present, explaining why we feel discouraged, angry or upset, or good, happy or great.  These serve to justify and reinforce how we are currently feeling, creating a strong momentum, to make us feel even worse, or better, depending on the way we’re heading.

We tell stories about our future, explaining why things will be the way they will be.  Know that these stories will create what will be.

So how does the stories we tell create our realities?  Through the energies we put into our stories.  It is the energy within us which creates the realities around us.

Unconsciously, we are using our thoughts, feelings and stories.

Consciously, using the Law of Attraction - Choosing our thoughts, feelings, and stories.

On Going Processes:

How can we change our realities through our storytelling?

By listening to the stories we tell, and choose the story that makes us feel good.

We need to become more aware of what we are saying, rather than allowing our emotions and feeling dictate the story.

Observe our thoughts, our reactions, our feelings

Who do you think you are?  Who would you prefer to be?

Take a step back and notice how you judge others, as well as how you judge different events

Notice when you are feeling victimized, it seems as though life and others are doing it to us.

Notice where we judge ourselves, and let go of those judgements, as they bind us to those judgements.

Listen to what you complain about, both to ourselves and to others.

Many times our complaints about others are just reflections on ourselves.  (indent)

As practitioners of the Law of Attraction, we need to know,

What Feels Good?

What Feels Great?

What Feels Bad?

If it feels bad, change your story to one that feels good, and in return you will attract good energy

Think about things that feel good, no matter if there is a situation being confronted or not.

Many times our Egos get in the way of our being able to change the stories from ones that can create a positive energy, to keeping a negative and defensive stance.

Changing our Stories to Change our Reality is a Life Make-Over
